First Jamboree in the books. What a tremendous day, the kids were all excited to compete and have fun together. We started the day off vs Newcastle Stars, before we headed out we used our teams speaker and did our intro in the hallway with the kids dancing away. See more in the article.
The kids passed and skated their way to fun and dare i say a win if they kept score. Game 2 was delayed and was 6hrs later vs Whitby Blackhawks, they were big and strong but the boys and girls of Orono Team 2 fought and passed around them eventually tiring them out and outlasting them the whole time. The last game we were warned ahead of time. They were a Minor Development team that mis registered. We approved the game and went in for a struggle. But oh boy did the kids show up only half an hour break between games for both teams. They pushed, Orono pushed back and in the end that game was even the whole way through. Blow for blow going back and forth. Gav playing the best goalie game of the year. Player of the games were The Menace, Gav and Top Gun! Way to go everyone cant wait til the next one in February.
