After this weekend our pylons have become undefeated in 7 games, during which we had a 5 game win streak. The longest in all of CHL. Congrats to all the kids.
This weekend was the first big test facing off against the 2nd rank Clarington 1 team and the 4th place Orono 3 team. Facing harsh chirping and rough hockey the team pushed through with a 2 2 tie. Showcased by speedy Sam scoring yet another rush off D and the big little bear facing off in a net front battle for the ages. Game 2 of the weekend vs Orono 3 saw select teammates facing off from both U10 and U11 teams. Blue started strong going up 1 early, but Pylons would fight back and tied it up. Late in the third it was a scramble infront of the net saw the Cole wall stopping 2 shots before the third one found its mark giving blue the one goal lead. Things looked dire but Coop would not be denied with 50 seconds left he rushed the puck zig zagging around the other teams defense to rip a shot low and hard past their goalie to tie it up to secure a point.
Next two games are vs Newcastle 1 the top seated team and Orono 1 sitting in 5th at the moment. These boys are battling hard to push up the ranks to catch them with games in hand on everyone above will be a tough road to hoe in January, but a group of pylons this strong can move the world.
