Parents, Coaches & Players...
We have become aware of a number of Covid 19 positive cases in the community affecting some OAAA players.
It is very important that if a player has been told to isolate by the Durham Region Health Department that they do so and do NOT come to the arena for any reason.
If a player has been told to isolate, they will not pass the arena health screening and will be denied entry to the arena. If it is determined that a player or parent was dishonest in answering the questions or failed to answer the questions for the heath screening they will be subject to discipline by the OAAA Hockey Committee which could result in suspensions to players and parents being barred from entering the arena. The OAAA has a zero tolerance approach to this.
None of us are happy about this but the OAAA must take this approach to ensure the safety of everyone at the arena and to keep the hockey program running.
Any questions or concerns should be directed to
[email protected] or
[email protected] not the arena staff or the security guards.
